Our Story:
It all started when...
On one mild weekend late in 2008 after a suggestion to find a place to play mini golf. After a quick Google search revealed not much in the way of options, at least “locally”. The response; was “there really is nothing in the area”, which led to; “well then lets just build our own”. About a week later the Zents were scratching out a business plan that would later unfold into what is now Lake Norman Miniature Golf. The mission was to create a place where residents and visitors to the area alike, could come and enjoy a fun, friendly, and safe environment. Something that would be a viable asset to the community. We think we have succeeded.
Fast forward to 2018 and looking back, what started out as a “joke” has become the fulfillment of pride in small business ownership. The Irby family is proud to be the new owners of Lake Norman Miniature Golf and a part of the Lake Norman community. Lake Norman Mini Golf is not only a fun, family activity; but it is also a fun, family business. The Irby's 2 children (Banks and Garrett) are actively involved in the business. You can find Banks making your delicious snow-ball, while Garrett is busy keeping the course looking great. The Irby family wanted a family business that they could run together while providing a fun place for other families. Please feel free to stop and let us know how we are doing. We take pride in giving back to our community through local organizations such as the Lions Club, Ada Jenkins, Charlotte Alzheimer’s Association, LKN Young Life Chapter, and various cancer research organizations (both local & national) that have had a direct impact on our family or those closely affiliated with some of our partners.
